Firefox

Enabling JavaScript and Java

1. From the menu bar, select Tools / Options and click on the Content icon.

2. Make sure that the Enable JavaScript and Enable Java options are checked and press OK.

Enabling Cookies

1. From the menu bar, select Tools / Options and click on the Privacy icon.

2. Select Use custom settings for history from the Firefox will: dropdown menu.

3. Make sure that Accept cookies from sites is selected.

4. Click on the Exceptions button and make sure that blackboard.com is NOT listed as blocked.

Enabling Popup Windows

1. From the menu bar, select Tools / Options and click on the Content icon.

2. Make sure that the Block pop-up windows option is NOT checked and press OK.

Clearing the Browser Cache

1. From the menu bar, select Tools / Clear Recent History.

2. Select Everything from the Time range to clear: dropdown menu, and press Clear Now.

Internet Explorer

Enabling JavaScript

1. From the menu bar, select Tools / Internet Options and click on the Security tab.

2. Select the Internet zone and click on the Custom level ... button.

3. Scroll down to the Scripting section, check Enable under Active scripting, and press OK.

Enabling Java

1. From the menu bar, select Tools / Internet Options and click on the Programs tab.

2. Click the Manage add-ons button near the bottom of the screen.

3. Make sure that the Toolbars and Extensions option is selected, and scroll down until you see Sun Microsystems, Inc.

4. Select the Sun Java Console entry. If it is already enabled, press the Close button; otherwise, click on the Enable button (twice) and then Close.

Enabling Cookies

1. From the menu bar, select Tools / Internet Options and click on the Privacy tab.

2. Click Advanced and check Override automatic cookie handling.

3. Select Accept for First-party Cookies and Third-party Cookies.

4. Check Always allow session cookies and click OK.

Enabling Popup Windows

1. From the menu bar, select Tools / Internet Options and click on the Privacy tab.

2. Make sure that the Turn on Pop-up Blocker option is NOT checked and press OK.

Clearing the Browser Cache

1. From the menu bar, select Tools / Delete Browsing History.

2. Make sure that at least Temporary Internet Files and History are checked and press Delete.

3. Wait for your computer to finish this process, and then resume your previous activity.
